About Borghese Gallery

Borghese Gallery Tours Rome
The Borghese Gallery houses the impressive Borghese collection of sculptures, paintings and other antiquities.  The Villa was commissioned by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in the 17th century to house his art collection that became renowned all over Europe.

This very important collection includes works by Bernini, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian and Canova, whose Victorious Venus (1805), internationally known as Pauline Bonaparte, is the most famous piece in the museum and virtually its symbol.  The collection is arranged over the two floors of the Villa, in 20 rooms.  The lower floor is mainly dedicated to sculpture and the upper floor to paintings.

Guided tours of the Borghese Gallery are organized as Private tours in the language or your choice.
